Open Evening: Thursday 30th September

As promised, we would like to hold an 'open evening' for the Adam and Eve on Thursday 30th September 2010 from 7.30pm.

The aim of the get-together is really twofold: firstly, to allow us an opportunity to show people the pub in its current state with work already underway and to present our ideas of what the pub might look and feel like when it's finished; secondly, and probably more importantly, is for us to have a chance to listen to locals and others interested in the future of the pub about their ideas, wishes and comments, and to gauge the reaction to our ideas.

We hope to have an array of materials available on site including flooring, paint colours, wallpaper designs, etc as well as sets of plans/drawings that will better indicate the internal layout. There will be a chance to wander around the pub to see areas that may not previously have been available to the public (subject, obviously, to what is safe to access). We also hope to discuss the sort of menus (beers, wines and food) that people might want to see, as well as other facilities such as the outdoor areas/plans, children's facilities, disabled facilities, function rooms, and others. We will try to include for discussion all the ideas and suggestions people have kindly sent us over the past weeks.

There will be some refreshments available, but please remember - you will be entering a building site, so please dress accordingly and take extra care when moving around the building. There will also be no public WCs available (sorry!).

We hope that as many people can make it as possible, as the more ideas/suggestions we have, the better. We would be very grateful for a rough idea of numbers so if you are planning to pop along then if you could drop us a note (email or comment) to advise of numbers, that would be really helpful.

See you all on the 30th!
