Back in the dim and distant past (well, December actually), we met the present tenant who was very keen not to have anything to do with the pub anymore, unsurprisingly, as it was costing him a pretty penny every week just to open the doors.
We agreed a price and ever since then the pair of us have been battling with the pubco to get a deal/lease together. But there's finally a light at the end of the tunnel: the current tenant (who's had a closed and empty pub on his hands for the past two months) is ready to hand over the keys and we just have to sort out a few minor issues with solicitors.
Fingers crossed.
