Everyone more than a little nervous, as we rush to get everything in place to open the doors. It's been a really tough journey, but we're almost there. Nearly made it! AND (unbelievably) on time and on budget (a pretty miserly budget at that - have been up most nights re-covering seats, framing and painting ourselves to keep the costs down).
Thank you to all the well wishers and many, many emails and messages of support over the past few months. These have really kept us going through the toughest patches!!
Thank you too, to all those that have donated their time, energy and ideas (and in some cases furniture, fixtures and fittings) for absolutely nothing, just to see the pub open again. Your generosity has been truly overwhelming!
Finally (for now) thanks to our neighbours who have put up with the disruption of us building for the last few months. Cheers guys!
One small request from me to you - please give us time to learn how to use our new pub - there will be many glitches to iron out and problems to fix before it runs as smoothly as we would like it, so please, please bear with us. We will get there in the end!!
